DIY: A Piece of Cake for the Easter Table!

An egg is a must on the Easter table!
DIY: A Piece of Cake for the Easter Table!

Not all eggs are meant to be eaten… However, these wooden egg holders are certainly practical for an edible egg!

Method
Choose a color of yarn that you like.
Start wrapping the yarn around the bottom of the egg. There's a small hole there where you can secure the first piece of yarn.
Apply a small amount of glue and let it dry slightly. Wrap the wool around the egg. Repeat these two steps until the egg is completely covered with wool.
Tip: Place the egg on a stick—that way, it's easier to wrap the yarn around it.
Finally, wrap a piece of ribbon around the egg and secure it with a drop of glue.
Tuck a few dried flowers behind the ribbon for an extra festive touch!

The egg cups are already very pretty as they are, but of course you can also paint them.
The StudioLight paint sets are ideal for small painting projects.

For Advanced Learners

The video below shows that you can also crochet cute ‘coats’ for the eggs.
The Nilo yarn is more suitable for this.

Have fun!
